Hilton Downtown Columbus Expansion

Fire Seal provided full-scope cementitious fireproofing for the Hilton Downtown Columbus Hotel Expansion, the tallest building constructed in downtown Columbus in over 30 years. The project added 463 guestrooms, a 54,000 sq. ft. conference center, an 18,000 sq. ft. ballroom, and a pedestrian skybridge linking to the original tower, making it Ohio’s largest hotel. Our team coordinated with Turner and Smoot Construction to fireproof all structural steel elements, maintaining UL fire-resistance ratings across complex vertical assemblies while adhering to a fast-paced commercial schedule. The project was recognized as Project of the Year by Columbus Business First’s 2023 Building Columbus Awards.
