The James Outpatient Care Facility

The James Outpatient Care complex at The Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center is a 385,000 sq. ft. cancer-focused ambulatory care center, featuring a 65,000 sq. ft. proton therapy center, Ohio’s first installation of its advanced technology. The facility houses outpatient operating rooms, diagnostic imaging, IR suites, and medical offices. Fire Seal delivered both fireproofing and firestopping solutions, providing UL-compliant cementitious fireproofing and full-coverage firestopping across complex healthcare zones, ensuring continuity of passive fire protection in high-risk areas, including radiation treatment spaces, surgical suites, and mechanical systems. Fireseal’s scope also extended to the 640-space parking garage, contributing to life safety and code compliance across this landmark healthcare project.
