Bob Crane Community Center
Upper Arlington, OH
Project Description
The Bob Crane Community Center in Upper Arlington, Ohio is a five-story, 165,000 sq. ft. building, complete with a multifunctional pool, two indoor gyms, an event space, and various common spaces. The building stands as a physical testament to Upper Arlington’s commitment to gathering and community. As a contributor, Fire Seal provided spray-applied cementitious and intumescent fireproofing, along with firestopping services, for this new multi-level civic facility. Our team applied CAFCO 300 to structural steel at the penthouse to achieve a 1-hour rating, and SprayFilm WB5 intumescent coatings on exposed HSS steel to meet 2-hour ratings throughout the project. Fire Seal’s firestop services maintained code-compliant protection at penetrations and joints, supporting a safe and durable public space for the Upper Arlington community.
