Navy Gateway Inns & Suites

Fire Seal provided comprehensive firestopping services for the new Navy Gateway Inns & Suites facility at NAS Key West, designed to replace three hurricane-damaged lodging structures. The project includes full demolition of four existing buildings on Boca Chica Key and the construction of a new, 115,224 sq. ft. transient lodging facility at Trumbo Point. As part of a year-round training support site, the building was constructed under strict federal design standards, including compliance with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC 4-720-01) and Guiding Principles for high-performance green buildings. Our scope involved installing UL-rated firestop systems at all rated penetrations and construction joints to ensure life safety and maintain integrity across compartmentalized building zones in this mission-critical military housing facility.
